Terms of Service
Designed to facilitate any fundraising effort, the Auctions a la Carte’s (ALC) is a web-based service that allows licensed end-users (CUSTOMERS*) to conduct “virtual auction events” on the internet. Our standard — “out-of-the-box” — online auction system is intended for easy adaptation to any web site, and the business goals of each customer, and is rented on a percentage basis (see ALC Pricing).
As a licensed customer, you may publish and auction as many items as required by your business. Since the ALC web auction system is intended to be accessible exclusively from your own web site (or designated URL), you are highly encouraged to own a domain name accompanied by at least a one-page web site to serve as an auction entrance or jumping off point. Usually the link or entrance to your web auction will reside on your “home” page, and on as many other web pages worldwide as possible, in order to promote auction traffic and generate awareness for your cause or organization.
To access your auction and place bids, participants technically need to meet only one requirement — a web-standards compliant web browser (Internet Explorer 8+, Mozilla Firefox 2+, Safari 3+, Google Chrome or Opera 8+) with an internet connection. To hold an auction requires some additional planning, summarized below, and ALC will ensure your successful set-up by guiding you through the set-up process.
